Who we are....

So what is Adoption or Fostering?

Adoption is the legal process by which the rights and responsibilities of parenthood are transferred to adoptive parent(s).

Fostering provides children with security during a difficult period - some times long term or permanent fostering is required. Responsibility for the child is shared with between Social Services and the birth parents.

There are so many myths with Fostering or Adoption - too old, low income, single? Adoption agencies are flexible, so please do not let these myths put you off. There are so many lovely children waiting to be adopted - they want to have a loving home. BAAF (British Agencies for Adoption and Fostering) have wonderful WebPages which go into more detail.
