SPECIALIST ADOPTION CENTRES

Following the commitments made by the Government in the White Paper Adoption: a new approach, published on 21 December 2001, adoption work in the County Courts and above is being centralised in specialist Adoption Centres throughout England and Wales. This change came into effect on 1 October 2001.
